positive business

A social enterprise is a business that has as a primary aim giving back to the community. A social enterprise reinvests most of it's surpluses in the services and facilities it's offering the community, rather than turning them into profit. You could almost think of it as being somewhere between a charity and a conventional business. Although social enterprises can be based on a variety of legal structures, they all have social, community or environmental concerns as central objectives.

The Creation Factory is a social enterprise. This means that we run our business for the sake of our members and the community around us. It also means that we encourage our members to act in a similar way -- acting in a way responsible to the community and environment where the operate as much as possible.
